Our advanced course offerings are currently:
Handgun Essentials/Defensive Handgun Level One
This course works to establish a base line understanding of shooting principals. Almost anyone who has a demonstrable understanding of firearms safety can attend this course. The emphasis is not put on subscribing to a one-size-fits-all set of techniques but rather understanding the universal principals that apply to all regardless of what your technique may be.
In this course we will laser beam focus on understanding the principals behind:
- Efficient/passive management of recoil versus inefficient/active tension
- Isolating the trigger press straight to the rear/holding the gun still
- Seeing what you need to see/understanding the relationship between your eyes, sights, and target
Understanding the principles behind shooting is foundational and something we never graduate from. Upon completing this course you will have a better understanding of what good practice is that will allow you to make the most out of your time, money, and resources in your own training. Cost is $125.
Handgun: Concealed Carry
After taking the Handgun Essentials Course, this class offers a topic specific course for those looking to learn more about everyday carry options. This class will expose you to a number of different carry systems helping you understand what works best for your lifestyle. The course will cover a fundamentals refresher, drawing from concealment, reloads, malfunctions, positioning and movement. This course will primarily take place on the range in a small class setting of 8 students. Cost is $125.
Handgun: Home Defense
In this home defense course we will focus on the use of a handgun within a home defense response plan, various home defense topics will be covered including; making your own home a harder target, exterior security, interior security, dome defense plans for various scenarios. This course will primarily take place on the range in a small class setting of 8 students. Cost is $125.
