TAKING YOUR COURSE

Midwest Carry Academy offers Minnesota Permit to Carry training (also known as concealed and carry)  courses at 7 convenient locations throughout the metro. The course you will take will allow you to apply to carry in up to 37 states.  The map can be found on our home page.

Our course is approximately 6 hours long, and consists of 5 hours of classroom time and approximately 1 hour of range time. Periodic breaks will be taken during the class. We cover basic fundamentals of handgun use, legal aspects of handgun possession, concealed carry, and use including self-defense and the restrictions on the use of deadly force. The remaining portion of the class is a shooting qualification exercise to ensure that students can competently and safely manipulate a handgun by shooting a silhouette target at 21 feet. Note: Personal pistol training is available if the student does not have a gun, but would like to use one of Midwest Carry Academy’s, starting at $10 including ammunition.)

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive an endorsed certificate, allowing you to apply for your permit with your local sheriff (additional permit application fee will apply). COST

All-inclusive Permit to Carry Ticket is $160.00. This includes:

37 multi-state permit to carry course, resource packet, range fees, eye and ear protection, one-on-one coaching, certificate of completion and a target. Academy pistols are available during the course.  Please see below for costs.

Multi-state Permit to Carry Ticket is $79.00. This includes:

37 Multi-state permit to carry course, certificate of completion and a target. Range time is an additional charge, and varies by venue: Prior Lake $0, Mound $0, and Jordan $16.

Don’t have a gun yet? Personal pistol training is available during the course. The .22  has a rental fee of $10, and the 9mm pistol has a rental fee of $15. Both rentals include ammunition. We accept cash or check at the range.

*CANCELLATION POLICY

Midwest Carry Academy abides by a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you give us more than 24-hour notice, we are more than happy to reschedule you for another Permit to Carry class. Failure to provide 24 hour notice will result in forfeiture of any vouchers, coupons, deposits or payments. Contact us to re-schedule.
